At Lavender Spectrum Health we value healthcare justice for all. That means we care about the fact that there are currently no viable ways for immunosuppressed and immunocompromised patients who do not respond to the COVID-19 vaccine to prevent contracting SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19.
To improve the accessibility of our services, all patients attending in-clinic appointments are required to mask during their appointment. We understand that not everyone can afford high quality masks and provide surgical masks, N95 masks, and KN95 masks for patients at the door. We encourage patients to schedule by telehealth when possible.
All patients are required to complete a COVID/flu symptoms screening at the door prior to completing an in person appointment. If you do not wish to complete this screening, you can opt to do a telehealth appointment from the parking lot, though not all services are able to be provided safely this way.
If you have any cold/flu/ COVID symptoms that are not a part of a pre-existing chronic condition, please cancel or reschedule your in-person appointment.
If you are coughing or otherwise appear ill during your appointment, your provider may ask you to complete your appointment in the parking lot from your vehicle or reschedule based on their clinical judgment to protect our staff and other patients who may be receiving procedures which must be done unmasked.
If you are sick for any reason, please cancel your in-person appointment. If you wake up sick the day of an appointment we may waive the late cancellation fee on a case by case basis, but if you have been sick >24 hours prior to an appointment, we expect to be notified and have your appointment cancelled.
Here is our COVID/flu screening form:
In the past 48 hours have you had any of the following symptoms (circle if true) that you do not normally usually have:
Cough
Rash
Shortness of breath
Chest tightness/pain
Runny nose
Congestion
New or worsening headaches
New or worsening diarrhea
Fevers
Sweats/chills
Vomiting/Diarrhea
If you answer “no” and your provider determines that you have any of the above acute illness symptoms and are acutely ill during your visit, you may experience consequences up to and including discharge from Lavender Spectrum Health as a patient
If you have any of the following you will need to do a telehealth visit from the parking lot or reschedule your numbing shots: fever, new cough, new whole body rash, new shortness of breath, and/or new vomiting/diarrhea. If you are a new patient, you will need to reschedule, but will not be charged a late cancellation fee.
If you have runny nose/congestion only or cough/dyspnea as a part of a pre-existing condition, you will be offered an N95/KN95 mask if you wish to have an in person visit or offered a parking lot visit if appropriate.
