Insurance Billing Policies - 2026 Updates
Important Update Regarding Payment at Your Appointment
Dear Patients,
We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to share an update regarding our office billing policies for upcoming appointments.
Beginning with your next visit, your expected patient responsibility (EPR) will be collected at the time of your appointment. This amount typically ranges from $10 to $100 and is determined in advance based on your individual insurance benefits.
For e-visits or telehealth appointments, if payment has not been completed through your patient portal prior to the start of your appointment, your provider may request payment at the time of the visit.
After your appointment, we will submit the claim to your insurance company on your behalf. Any payment collected will be applied toward your copayment, coinsurance, deductible, or other patient responsibility as determined by your insurance once the claim has been processed. Please note that this EPR payment may not cover your entire balance - especially if your deductible applies - as full patient responsibility is ultimately determined by your insurance. Any remaining balance will be available for payment through your patient portal.
You will have 30 days to pay remaining balances under $200 in full. For balances over $200, you will have 60 days to pay. If you have any concerns or questions about your balance, please don’t hesitate to reach out via call, text, or email.
If we do not hear from you regarding your balance within the allotted timeframe, we reserve the right to cancel future appointments.
For questions about your benefits, coverage, or anticipated costs, we recommend contacting your insurance company directly using the Member Services phone number on the back of your insurance card. If you have questions about the payment process itself, our team is always happy to help and walk you through it.
